Monday, August 6: Over the last year while I was in Oman, my two sons, 19-year-old Adam and 21-year-old Alex, set up some gym equipment in our backyard. They built parallel bars, still rings and a slack line so they could work on their upper body strength and balance. Alex and Adam both work out almost daily and feel good about their ability to do things with their bodies that most people can only dream of doing.
I took some pictures of Alex in the backyard today as he did a long workout. The wood beams that hold up the parallel bars and the still rings were haphazardly spray painted by his younger brother Adam one day with artistic summer abandon. Adam told me he prefers not to have his pictures taken during his workouts. So, here is Alex.
